Hobro , Denmark  – The Danish toy company (dantoy) was presented on February 5^th, 2010 , in Nuremberg , Germany the new FLOWER & SWAN award certificate for  environmental & safety standards. (dantoy) is the first Toy Company in the world to be selected for this prestigious award. This voluntary labeling will be mandatory in the very near future. The Flower is the European ecolabel, and the Swan is the ecolabel of the Nordic countries, it is rare that a company would be selected for both symbols, and to be the first toy company in the world to receive this honor. Mr. Jan Mathiasen (dantoy) Managing Director  was on hand to accept this award on behalf of the (dantoy) company – (dantoy) is a privately owned company with more than 50 years experience, manufacturing plastic toys utilizing the latest technology available today. Mr. Mathiasen also went on to say that to be the first toy company in the world to receive this award is simply an honor …that words can’t describe. Also on hand for the award presentation was Kevin McGrath . President /Founder of the United States specialty toy company (The Original Toy Company) based in Milford , Connecticut, who is also the United States distributor for (dantoy) within the United States specialty toy/ educational supply market. McGrath was quoted as saying “we are totally thrilled for (dantoy) and its employee’s being presented this award”. McGrath also stated that (dantoy) has been a true leader & pioneer in the manufacturing and development of plastic toys. We have seen a dramatic change in consumer buying of plastic – sand/water toys over the last two years , because of all the concerns related plastic toys in general in the United States, (dantoy)has always been known for being an environmental leader in the production of plastic toys ,they deserve this award .All (dantoy)products are produced WITHOUT use of PVC and DO NOT contain PHTHALETES. In the last 10 years (dantoy) continues to be recognized thru-out the world with a number of awards such as ISO 14001 in 1977, and again in 1991. Both Mathiasen & McGrath both stated that in the weeks and months ahead all of the (dantoy) products will carry the (Hang Tag) label of both the Swan & Flower very proudly, and to be the first toy company in the world to have this (Hang Tag) on all products produced by (dantoy). Both Gentleman stated –“ we believe it is our responsibility to educate the consumer buying product , along with the education community of this valuable health & safety information”. The world is changing daily in respect to children’s products and safety , and honors such as this award only continue to strengthen the (dantoy) name and reputation thru-out the world today.
